This is the second year that the local jewelry store has supported Breast Cancer research at the Tampa cancer hospital. Martini’s and Massages was a ladies-only event held at the local jewelry store and featured a martini bar, hors d’oeurves, and mini-massages by several local licensed massage therapists. “We’ve been successful raising funds for the Moffitt Foundation with our Giving Tree and our Martini’s and Massages event and are excited to continue this partnership with them ,” said Nikki Gulvin, assistant manager of Kiefer Village Jewels’ Dade City store. “Breast Cancer is a leading cause of death among women in this country. Men can also be diagnosed with breast cancer and that is of great concern too. Early detection can be life-saving and research is making great strides in finding a cure. We want to do our part in helping to make that happen.” The fundraiser is part of a month-long effort to raise money for the Moffitt Foundation and awareness of the need for early detection and a cure. Kiefer Village Jewels also donated the proceeds from their Giving Tree to the cause.
