Kendra Scott Has Arrived
You asked and we listened! We know you guys look to Kiefers for the latest and greatest and we are proud to officially unveil the Kendra Scott collection at our Dade City location. Kendra Scott started her jewelry collection in 2002 when she noticed that the jewelry industry was missing a stylish and affordable collection fashioned around unique gemstones. The entire collection is crafted in their studio in Austin, Texas. We love to see products that are made in the US! Kendra started the company when her first son was only three months old and family will always be first in the core values of the company. She also gives back to numerous women’s and children’s causes each year. You’ve probably seen the famous Elisa necklace that has hands down been one of the most popular necklaces for customers of all ages for almost 20 years now.
It’s easy to see why we loved this collection so much and we felt that it was the perfect fit for our Dade City location. Remodel
If you have visited or driven past our Lutz location recently, you have probably noticed a few changes. Many were worried that we were going out of business but in fact it was quite the opposite. Believe it or not, our Lutz location is almost 20 years old so it was time for a face lift. We cleaned, re-painted and replaced the signage and awnings on the outside of our building. We are currently still awaiting the arrival of our new awnings but it’s looking pretty good so far.
Besides just needing an overall update, the sign on the outside of our building still read “Kiefer Village Jewels” despite the fact that we had updated and shortened the name to “Kiefer Jewelers” over 5 years ago. This was one of the final remnants of our old name and we are excited to be one step closer to having a cohesive image across all channels. The name “Kiefer Village Jewels” dates back to when the Kiefer family started the business in 1997. The store was originally just called “Village Jewel” as pictured here.
When David and Wendy Hevia purchased the business from the Kiefer family in 1997, they wanted to honor the Kiefer family and their legacy by adding the family name to the business making it “Kiefer Village Jewels”. As time went on, this came to feel like a mouth full and was usually shortened to “KV Jewels” or even “KVJ”. That’s when we felt it was time to modernize and shorten the name, holding onto the parts that were truly important. It’s been a long process making updates to all company materials and marketing but we are proud to say that we are now “Kiefer Jewelers”. Even though there are still a few random places you may spot the old company name.
This was quite a project but it was well worth the final result. Our new signage not only looks fresh and modern, it’s also more energy efficient as well. All of the lighting was upgraded to energy efficient LED lighting meaning it will appear brighter and burn less energy to run. Let us know what you think of these new updates to our building!
Markdown Mondays
We recently started a new segment on our social media pages called Markdown Mondays because who doesn’t love a good jewelry sale? This is where we feature several items that have been recently marked down or price reduced to help save you some money! These posts feature all kinds of items that are marked down anywhere from 10-50%. Each item is either discontinued or no longer available so they are sold as is and cannot be re-ordered so we highly recommend acting fast if you see something you like. We make sure to list the finger size on all of the rings as we are not able to order these rings in other sizes so this is something to keep in mind when shopping the new markdowns. Estate jewelry is all previously loved but we completely refurbish it before re-selling it in our stores. Our big announcement last year was the introduction of the Italian designer line, Roberto Coin. Needless to say, it’s been a hit! We can’t seem to place re-orders fast enough on these gorgeous 18 karat gold pieces. Roberto Coin is one of those collections that people get addicted to. One piece is never enough. Did you know that we offer a rewards program where you can earn $1 for every $20 that you spend at Kiefer Jewelers? This applies to all in-store and online sales including repairs and appraisals (excluding Rolex). Cash out your rewards dollars towards an item in our store to treat yourself or your loved ones. It’s like frequent flier miles for jewelry! This program is just one more reason why shopping at Kiefer Jewelers just makes sense. The only caveat is that the points do expire on September 30th of each year which restarts our rewards earning period. So now is the time to cash out your rewards dollars before they expire! JA New York Jewelry Show
People often wonder how we are always at the cutting edge of new fashion trends and styles. Well that’s because we travel to 6-10 jewelry shows per year to scout out new trends and technology in the industry. Most recently, our marketing director, Alex Hevia Schlindwein, and sales associate, Brianna Breese, traveled to the JA Jewelry Show in New York City. Alex was invited to attend this show as a speaker on two panel discussions about how technology is affecting the jewelry industry. September Birthstone - Sapphire

We know it’s corny but we couldn’t resist! The September birthstone is sapphire – a gem that’s been cherished for thousands of years. Although the term sapphire usually refers to the blue variety of corundum (ruby is the red variety), this birthstone comes in a rainbow of other colors. Sapphires have been long associated with royalty and romance and are also said to symbolize fidelity and the soul. “Sapphire” comes from the Greek word sappheiros and blue sapphire is one of the most popular colored stones.
